Evaluation vs Diagnosis
An ATC can only recognize the injury, by law they cannot diagnose -- only a doctor can.
The athletic trainer must act in their scope of practice.
The ATC must have general knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics as well as hazards associated with a particular sport.
